The Flight Plan is one of 2 primary sources for information. It will arrive in your inbox every Thursday at 5pm. Classroom newsletters will be sent every other Friday. There might be emails here and there in addition but we hope to keep our communications concise and consistent. Thank you!

If you have Anser related submissions for the Flight Plan, please email them to Amanda Neill at aneill@ansercharterschool.org.

Snow is in the forecast! Crews and families please make sure we are winter weather ready when attending school. If the Boise School District closes, Anser will also be closed. We will make this call as soon as possible, and communicate via email, text, and social media channels. The information will also be relayed to KTVB and will be shared on their channels.

3rd- 8th Grade will be doing Student Led Conferences. Conferences at Anser include the parent or caregiver AND the child. Learn more about Student Led Conferences here.

What should I expect during the Learner Goal Setting Conference?

During your child’s scheduled Learner Goal Setting Conference, the goal setting documents will be completed with your child and their crew leader. The conference is an opportunity for your child to take responsibility for their own learning, while receiving guidance and support from their crew leader and parent. Conferences are scheduled back to back, so it's important to be on time and complete the process during your allotted time.

Learner Goal Setting Conferences are not a traditional Parent-Teacher conference. Students lead the process with support from their teacher and parents.  If you have a concern to discuss with your child’s Crew Leader, please make an appointment for another time.

Learner Goal Setting Conferences are a critical part of your child’s education at Anser. We look forward to seeing all of our families in attendance and look forward to working with you to support your child’s academic and character development.

Parent Night to review AMS Student Well-Being Survey Data

As a follow up to the  Communities for Youth Mental Health Survey that our AMS Students took this fall, we are inviting all families and community members to review the results of the data and to look at how we can support mental health for young people in our school community.  We have scheduled this for Monday, February 5th at 5:00pm in The Commons here at Anser.  We will have childcare provided for younger children but we ask you to leave your AMS students at home since there will not be supervision.  In order to help plan for numbers, please RSVP using this google form.  If you have any questions, please reach out.

Lost and Found Updates The first donation date for Lost and Found items will be January 19th! Sarah Wilson and other staff have worked hard to find better solutions to the increasingly overwhelming amount of Lost and Found items. Sarah has put baskets in hallways and out on the playground labeled by grade level which has been very helpful but the Lost and Found continues to grow. Thank you to staff and volunteers for helping spread items out, hang them on the outside fence and in haul bags away!

Lost and Found Donation Dates- January 19th, February 2nd, March 1st, April 5th & May 24th.

Labeling items with your child's name is extremely helpful as is encouraging your kids to double check the lost and found with some regularity.

We continue to be on the lookout for bus drivers to add to our staff crew! If you know someone looking for a flexible school year schedule, here is a job description. Sharing it far and wide is encouraged...
