A Reminder Regarding our Handicap Designated Spots - We realize that pick up and drop offs can be busy but please be mindful of where you are parking. Even if its only for a few minutes we need those designated spots to be available for families and visitors that require those spots. We are crew!

Bus #1 Stop Change - Boise is under construction all over! One construction project, by Cassia Park, has made the current  Cassia Park stop unsafe for the bus. Effective Monday September, 25th we have shifted the Cassia Park stop to a church on the corner of Roosevelt and Kootenai - Red Rock Christian Church. The stop will be in the church's back parking lot off Roosevelt. We appreciate our bus drivers alerting us to unsafe conditions and making the appropriate changes!

25 Days of Attendance TIME! We are getting down to the last few days where we have an opportunity to positively impact the first 80% of Anser's funding! We have just 4 more days to bump our attendance up to 95% and gain an additional $96,000!

Middle School is rocking it with a 95.66% attendance level! K-5 is hovering at 94.6%  WE ARE JUST SO CLOSE!  The attendance of every single student could have a huge impact on our funding in these last 4 days! Please help us celebrate our 25th anniversary, by making our first 25 days of attendance the very best they can be!

Kate's ⅘ Crew Food Drive

Hello Anser families,

We are happy to announce that Kate’s 4/5 Crew is trying to complete a goal that we want to finish in two weeks time. We are collecting 100 pounds of food to give to the Idaho food bank. Please help donate food before October 3, which is when we count up the food and donate it. Good food to donate is bars, popcorn, canned/shelf-stable milk, peanut butter, juice, pasta, and canned foods.

The donation box will be in the gym/cafeteria. Please help the people who do not have enough food to eat. We are working super hard to collect this much!

Please ask Sarah W. or Kate’s 4/5 Crew if you have any questions. Thank you so much for helping us collect 100 pounds of food!

Community Garden Requests  Becky Morgan and Sarah Higgins, 2 of our AMS crew leaders, are hosting a Community Garden Restoration event on September 25th and 26th. World Studies and Justice Expedition students will be leading the work through six stations including planting new beds, restoring old beds, painting rocks and signs, and prepping a new pollinator garden area.

We need your help! We are seeking donations of new flowering pollinator plants, garden perennials that need to be thinned and rehomed, new and used garden supplies that you aren't using any more (gloves, shovels, trowels etc.) and flat rocks to be painted and placed in the garden to mark where plants are located.

Plants donations can be labeled and dropped off on 42nd street in front of the little free garden. Other donations might include: bags of soil, acrylic exterior paint, snacks, assistance on leading a station on the 25th or 26th, expertise on repairing irrigation/sprinkler bed lines... other things we are not thinking of??

Anyone interested in helping in person on either day should email Sarah or Becky.

For Anser Middle School Families Only -Students will again be participating in the Student Well Being Survey through Communities for Youth the week of October 9th.  This survey assesses risk and protective factors in our students.  I have attached a letter from Megan Smith with Communities for Youth with specifics about the survey as well as a link to opt your child in to take the survey.

Last year we had families opt out if they didn't want to their student to take the survey but this year we have to have parents opt in, so please click on this link if you would like your child to take the survey.  Last year we have over 80% of our students complete it and the more students we have, the better the information is on our student body's over all well being!

Please reach out to Siler McCraw smccraw@ansercharterschool.org or Megan Smith at mlsmith@boisestate.edu with any questions!

We are crew! A group of Anser staff had the opportunity to volunteer at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival performance of Dracula: The Bloody Truth. It was so fun to connect outside of school and laugh, the play was a blast! Our favorite comment from a patron was, "I could tell this was a group of teachers, everyone is so helpful, like it was our first day of school!" We are crew everywhere we go!
