2/3 Exhibition Night Prep

2/3 has worked very hard to plan their Exhibition Night, which is this evening, April 21st! Head to the  at the Kristin Armstrong park at 5:30 to attend.

One of the hallmarks of EL Education is high quality work, and creating well revised assignments. We wanted to highlight the amazing informational brochures the 2/3 students created for their Exhibition Night! The brochures feature information about specific pollinators, how pollination works, and why protecting pollinating species is important. Great job to these students and their hard work!

1st Grade Plant Experiments

1st Grade is well into their plants and life cycle expedition, Dig Deep, and they are carrying out an incredible experiment! Jess and Marissa's crews have planted seeds and prepared to watch them grow. Each plant has a different variable that may affect it! Alongside their control plant, they have plants where the seed was cut in half, one plant even has Jello in the soil, and another is being talked to daily. This exploration is a great way to not only learn about plant life cycles, but understand how different conditions may affect its growth!

Bird Buddies!

Each Spring our Kindergarten students work with a 6th grade student to form a partnership called Bird Buddies! As the Kinders work on their scientific bird drawings, and revising their expedition work, our 6th grade students help with research and art. This partnership exemplifies the meaning of Crew!

Discipline with Dignity

Recess, Specials & Electives Discipline Plan

Dear Families,

We are implementing a discipline response process in grades 2-8. Support staff and Specials/Electives teachers will be using it as a means of communicating the mis-behaviors of students in their care. The role of this part of Anser's broader Discipline with Dignity plan is to communicate with crew leaders and adults at home and to track behavior. By communicating early and often when misbehavior occurs and noting its frequency, we can work together to respond with the best support for each students' social-emotional learning and character development needs. It is not intended as a punitive measure. It is another form of communication to help students become their best selves.

Parents/Guardians & Students in Grades 2-8, please review the Google form together and type your names within it to indicate acknowledgment and agreement. Thank you in advance for your response!

Somos Crew!/We are Crew!

Family Council needs you!

Anser’s Family Council  supports the education program of the school, develops a strong family community and  serves as  conduit between parents and the school administration for communicating parental ideas and concerns. Family Council supports the school with the Back to School Picnic, parent/family social events, provides feedback on policies and procedures brought to the committee, and supports volunteerism within the school. Family Council meets one time per month, August-May, with occasional additional meetings for subcommittees. Elections will be held to add new Family Council members in May.  If you would be interested in learning more about serving on Family Council, please reach out to Family Council President Dave Nelson at vandalfan@gmail.com.
