The Flight Plan is one of 2 primary sources for information. It will arrive in your inbox every Thursday at 5pm. Classroom newsletters will be sent every other Friday starting September 1st. There might be emails here and there in addition but we hope to keep our communications concise and consistent. Thank you!

If you have Anser related submissions for the Flight Plan, please email them to Amanda Neill at aneill@ansercharterschool.org.

Celebrations and Holidays Anser made the decision in the early years not to interrupt learning for holiday parties. An exception is kindergarten, which does have a Friendship Feast to which the families are invited.  For Halloween we look to the Fall Festival as a celebration opportunity rather than having children dress in costumes here at school.

Important Upcoming Dates -

  • Every Wednesday is a late start at Anser 9:30am! This does not impact bus schedules and your kids are welcome to join us on the playground starting at 8am. Playground supervision is on deck and breakfast will be served until 9:15am.

Anser's Annual Drive For the next few weeks we have invited families, alumni and staff to share their reasons for giving. Thank you for your continued support. What is your why?

"My family and I were late for a party the other day. I made them pull over and search the car for change to purchase a snow cone from some young entrepreneurs that were doing a great and enthusiastic job advertising! I buy lemonade and snow cones from kids everytime I can for the same reason I contribute to school fundraising efforts. I want to see kids, all kids, succeed.

I have worked in schools for almost 25 years. My primary motivation for continuing to work within the education framework is watching kids succeed and have positive experiences at school. Kids are the best. Kids are our future. I’m in awe of the work they do and I am in awe of the teachers that guide that work. Financially being able to support that just feels good and right for our family.

My time at Anser has reaffirmed my continued commitment to supporting education through financial gifts. Working behind the scenes has offered me a unique perspective as teachers and administrators want to make magic happen for these kids, daily. That is why our family choose a monthly pledge to support Anser's goal of $250 per child."

💫 Anser Community Experiences are Coming Together!! 💫

Things are getting exciting!  Let's break it down: Community - the feeling of fellowship with others. Experience - an event that leaves an impression. At Anser, we bring these two together for the unique purpose of building community while raising important funds that are needed to help fulfill Anser’s mission and vision!

Here’s how YOU can help make more of this magic happen!

💃🏽🪩🕺🏽 Buy a ticket to this school year’s first event: Family-Friendly Disco Extravaganza Friday, November 3rd from 7-9pm in the Anser Gym! Just $10/family! Fun for ALL ages. The event will include a professional DJ and refreshments. Invite friends and family. The more the merrier!

Thank you to the gracious hosts bringing this magic together: Anser Parents, Amy Holmes and Angie Wood. It's going to be a party, join us!

💫🌟 Can you help us fill out wish list? We are looking for Anser community members who have the following time, treasure or talent to share that will help us build out some emerging experiences!

  • Kindness Scavenger Hunt - can you be a driver to help Anser students spread kindness around town? 10 drivers are needed!

  • Anser Natatorium Pool Party  - can you sponsor all or a portion of the cost of Anser’s summer pool party this August? A $500 deposit is needed to secure this event that raises over $900 for Anser!

  • Anser AMS or Grade-Level Specific Campout - are you interested or experienced in securing group campsites to help host an Anser summer campout?

Do you have other skills or connections that haven’t been thought of yet?

A community connection, friend/family, or own/work for a business that could donate a class, service, location, or experience of some kind? Could you teach a skill, lead a trip/outing, create a unique opportunity based on your talents/hobbies/interests? Experiences, skills or access to things like a behind the scenes tour, culinary expertise, athletic endeavors, outdoors experiences, photography, theater, wine tasting, brewery tour, gardening, crafting. Do you have access to a unique location like a cabin, farm/ranch, beach house, gold mine, movie theater? Creativity and out-of-the box thinking is encouraged! If so, let us know!

If you are interested in learning more or helping with any of these, please contact AnnMarie Johnson at annmarie.a.johnson@gmail.com or 208-870-1309 or by completing this form!
