Anser's New Education Director It's official! Anser has their 4th Education Director in place, Destin Tonkin. Heather sent out a note on January 22nd. Here is an exerpt of that note. Thank you to all that participated in the hiring process, teachers, parents and students helped with the interview process!
"Destin becomes the 4th Education Director in Anser’s 25 years of operation, joining our permanent staff at an exciting time for the school. We have a long history as one of the first charter schools in Idaho and one of the longest term EL Education schools in the nation. Anser is recognized as an EL Credentialed School, one of only a handful of EL Education schools in the nation that has achieved credentialing twice for high quality implementation of the EL model.
Our future success builds on Anser’s strong foundation. As we look to next year and beyond, we have a strong focus in a few key areas:
Deep, consistent implementation of EL Education practices throughout the school
Development of new opportunities for adventure, service and learning outside of the four walls of the classroom
Ensuring our students, families and staff have a shared understanding of Anser’s mission and vision
A continued focus on ensuring that an Anser education prepares students to be the change makers we need in a future that has not yet been imagined
