Thank You Crew- As we leave for Winter Break we would like to share our gratitude for our Anser families. Each day we have parents in the building supporting student learning by helping in classrooms, reading with small groups, chaperoning on field work and adventure. We hope you experience these events as opportunities to understand your child as a learner, understand more about their expeditions, and build community with each other. We value your presence each day as we make connections, learn more about your family and gain your support in providing an excellent educational experience for your students. Anser could not operate without our incredible parent/guardian community and we are so grateful you are part of our Crew. We wish you a Winter Break filled with family togetherness and opportunities to reflect on all that you and your family have experienced in 2023. We look forward to being back together with you and your children again on January 4th. We will ring in 2024 sending best wishes for a year of learning, joy, connection and creation with our Anser family Crew. In Crew, Heather Dennis, Destin Tonkin and your whole Anser staff Crew |

We are Crew! 2nd Grade and Open Arms Dance Project "Upstanders with Open Arms is a program that promotes disability awareness, education, and acceptance of all human differences. It is deeply rooted in the values and missions of both Open Arms Dance Project and the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights. This program is based on the Wassmuth Centerβs Upstanders Toolkit, taught through fun dance games, books, films, and Open Arms Ambassador talks. Learning through dance makes powerful connections! By moving their bodies, students will understand with their hearts and minds the importance of being an Upstander." - openarmsdance.org Anser, 2nd Grade Crews and Jess, our Curiousity Lab Leader, were thrilled to participate in this program. The performance this morning was a wonderful comulation of a great community partnership. This project was made possible by a grant Open Arms Dance Project received, in-part, by the Idaho Commission on the Arts. |

Lost and Found Updates As we head into the Winter Break we would like to update our community on our ongoing Lost and Found situation. Sarah Wilson and other staff have worked hard to find better solutions to the increasingly overwhelming amount of Lost and Found items. Sarah has put baskets in hallways and out on the playground labeled by grade level which has been very helpful but the Lost and Found continues to grow. Thank you to staff and volunteers for helping spread items out, hang them on the outside fence and in haul bags away! Starting January 19th we will be donating Lost and Found monthly. These are the dates that we will be donating items- January 19th, February 2nd, March 1st, April 5th & May 24th. Labeling items with your child's name is extremely helpful as is encouraging your kids to double check the lost and found with some regularity. |
