25 Days of Attendance TIME!We are hovering just under 95% attendance so far. We just have two weeks to go! We could push that up to 96% and it would make a $96,000 difference for Anser! We understand life happens and kiddos get sick, but if you can make appointments for after 1:30pm, and have your kids at school every day they are healthy we will all win! We are focusing on the TIME section of our Time, Treasure and Talent focus of the Anser Annual Drive right now. In October we will share more about how we will be rolling out fundraising for the full year, but for now, let's do everything we can to make September attendance a success! |

Community Garden RequestsBecky Morgan and Sarah Higgins, 2 of our AMS crew leaders, are hosting a Community Garden Restoration event on September 25th and 26th. World Studies and Justice Expedition students will be leading the work through six stations including planting new beds, restoring old beds, painting rocks and signs, and prepping a new pollinator garden area. We need your help! We are seeking donations of new flowering pollinator plants, garden perennials that need to be thinned and rehomed, new and used garden supplies that you aren't using any more (gloves, shovels, trowels etc.) and flat rocks to be painted and placed in the garden to mark where plants are located. Plants donations can be labeled and dropped off on 42nd street in front of the little free garden. Other donations might include: bags of soil, acrylic exterior paint, snacks, assistance on leading a station on the 25th or 26th, expertise on repairing irrigation/sprinkler bed lines... other things we are not thinking of?? Anyone interested in helping in person on either day should email Sarah or Becky. |

Spotlight on EL Education Adventure is an ELEducation core practice - "EL Education promotes the kinds of adventures that create opportunities for leadership and collaboration as groups of students and teachers face challenges both alone and together." Living in Idaho allows endless possibilities for outdoor adventure! Last week the 7th and 8th graders participated in an Anser favorite, rafting the main with Cascade Raft & Kayak. Adventure is about taking risks, having fun and creating community. It was a stunning blue sky day on the Payette. Thank you to the guides, our crew leaders, parent volunteers, our bus driver and students for these adventure days. Check out this slideshow for a peek into the fun and exciting Adventure! |

Drum Roll Please............ Presenting the Session A Rosters for Anser After School Activities! Please click on the bottom tab of the program/s your child was hoping to attend to see if their name is present. Two activities, Gansitos and K&1 Science Club, had more students sign up than we had spots for so here is the protocol we followed to fill those spots. All students that requested activities got into at least one! Huzzah! If you don't see your child's name anywhere but you tried to sign them up, there were a handful of folks who didn't include any identifying info so we couldn't sign you up. Never fear, since this is everybody's first rodeo, we are adapting and being flexible. We have some spots left in some activities so we are giving you a second chance to sign up and I made sharing identifying info required. This form will close at midnight on Monday, September 18th. Please note these changes: - Improv Club on Tuesdays has expanded to include 6th grade! (Please note that 3 people tried to sign up for this but didn't include their names or contact info so please try again!)
- Anser Choir on Thursdays has expanded to include 6th grade!
- Pokemon Club has expanded to include 4&5 grades!
- (Theater options for AMS are in the works for future sessions- we hear you!)
Big thanks to our instructors (some paid, some volunteers) and our parent volunteers who have stepped up to help out and make this magic happen! AMS students are also welcome to volunteer with K-3 activities. Use sign up above to let us know they'd like to lend a hand with the littles! They are super sweet & funny & awesome! (The littles and the AMSers.) Thanks everybody! |

Drop off and Pick Up Reminders: - Please don't block the driveways of our neighbors on 42nd or UPS on 43rd.
- Do not drop off or pick up in the "u" of the line. This is not safe and backs up all traffic behind you.
- Never leave your car unattended in the pickup line.
- Pull past the curve in the pickup line and move as far down the sidewalk as you can to drop off or pick up.
- When cars in front of you move forward, you move forward
- You can exit the loading lane and go around other cars if you are ready to depart
- If your child requires assistance to exit the car, and gather belongings, please park on the street and walk them in, to allow the pick up line to move efficiently.
- Put your children's grade and full name on your dashboard
