Introducing Anser's Community Experiences

But what is an Anser Community Experience?

🌟Community: A feeling of fellowship with others.
🌟Experience: An event or occurrence that leaves an impression on someone

At Anser, a Community Experience combines shared experiences with FUNdraising. We're excited to share this unique concept, inviting YOU to participate! It's more than just events; it's about building strong connections within our community. With Anser Community Experiences, we're fostering fellowship while raising funds to support our mission, all year long.

Here are some examples of past Anser Community Experiences:

-Private Summer Pool Party at the Natatorium for Anser Families

-Farm to Fork Dinner with Musical Guests

-Lesson on how to make Tamales with Anser staff

-Parent Led Summer Rafting Trip for Junior High Students

-Holiday Movie Night for Elementary Students (so parents can holiday shop)!

-Progressive or Themed Dinner Parties for Anser Parents

-Anser Night Out at a Boise Hawks Game

Some Community Experience donors have a full event in mind, with all parts ready to go. Some have a building block such as a location, a talent, a skill, or a connection. We will help put your blocks together with others to create a complete Community Experience event. Many hands make light, and FUN work

Ready to be a part of this incredible journey? Please click here to share with us if you have Time, Treasure and/or Talent to benefit our beloved school!

Security Update and Reminders - In the coming days we will be implementing a new check in process for adults entering the building using our check in software. Upon checking in, adults will be asked to scan their driver's license before entering through the second set of doors to retrieve their visitor sticker. The software will check the drivers license against a national sex offender database and terrorist watch list. While this will add a bit of time to your check in process it is another way you can help us ensure the safety of our students. If you have any questions or concerns about this process, please email Tracy Quissell at tquissell@ansercharterschool.org.

Here are a few safety reminders:
  • All parents/visitors must check in through the front office.
  • All parents/visitors must have a sticker showing they have checked in. If they don't have the sticker they will be directed to the front office to get one.
  • All exterior gates are locked at 8:30am/9:30 on Wednesdays. If you arrive after 8:30 you must bring your student to the front entrance on 42nd st.
Again, thank you for being our partner in keeping our community safe!

Speaking of keeping our community safe. Please note, there are no left hand turns into the parking lot on 42nd. Please be mindful of other cars, pedestrians and bikers.

We are crew! Our 6th Grade Crews have been working on Identity Mind Maps. They wrote "I Am" poems as a way to explore their own perspectives and identity through poetry. Boden Green was kind enough to read her "I Am" poem aloud for us to enjoy. Her reading coupled with the video below are wonderful reminders of how grateful we are for the helpers in our local and national communities and the families that support them.

At last weeks Whole School Community Katelyn's crew showed a short film they did based on Community Helpers. Please take a moment to watch it!
